The best way to add character to any room is by incorporating a vintage rug. They are one of a kind and add rich texture and color to your home. Vintage rugs could go anywhere, living room, bedroom, office, bathroom, hallway, etc. They are very versatile and can be included in any design style. Whether your room is a modern or classic design, a vintage rug will be the perfect addition.
Best Places to Get Vintage Rugs
I discovered this shop on Instagram and I have been hooked since. Founder Georgia has an eye for the most beautiful vintage and one-of-a-kind rugs. Passerine hand picks rugs that are curated and have heirloom quality antique rugs.
Another gem of an Instagram find. Founder Elizabeth Sickinger, hand picks rugs by artisans across Central and Southern Asia which are preserved and not to mention, totally jaw-dropping. I love their view that rugs can completely transcend a space, I couldn’t agree more!
This shop has a number of gorgeous handpicked vintage rugs and a plethora of other home goods too. Founder Brittany Chinaglia, has an obsession with vintage rugs which she handpicks for The Vintage Rug Shop. This shop is described as, “the design community’s best-kept sourcing secret.”
Amber Interiors is one of my favorite Interior Design firms, and their handpicked vintage rugs are just as amazing. If your love Amber Interiors, you will love the vintage rugs that perfectly mirror her style.
Another Interior Design firm that has the most goegous rugs you can’t find anywhere else. McGee & Co. has a great selection of vintage rugs that are unique and beautiful.
Facebook Marketplace and Ebay
These are both great outlets if you’re looking for a vintagr rug. You can find cheaper options (most of the time) but what sucks is that they both require a lot of digging. Once you figure out how to naviagte these two outlets and what keywords to use to find rugs, you’ll have the world at your fingertips.
Vintage rugs can come with a pretty hefty price tag but I 100% believe that they are worth the investment. They bring so much character to a room and are very versatile across all interior design styles.
