I truly believe the kitchen is the heart of the home and the most neglected when it comes to styling. Kitchens are where families gather and probably the most lived in room in the house (next to the living room/family room), so why not make it beautiful too? Check out my tips below on how to style your kitchen to perfection.
Next to the Stove
This is the perfect place to blend function and beauty. Bring your wooden cutting boards out of the cabinet and display them on the counter, sitting up against the wall. You can pair them with a small vase and florals or a decorative bowl. One of the things I love displaying next to the stove is wooden utensils in a beautiful holder. You can even take it up a notch and pair them with some artwork.
The Sink
You can easily style the dish soap and dish sponge here. You can place the dish soap in a more aesthetically pleasing container; I especially love doing this because you don’t have to worry about picking up the dish soap container and have it fly out of your soapy hands (has happened to me quite often). You can pair that with a beautiful dish sponge, I get this is extra but it’s all for the aesthetic, right? Add them both to a tray and that’s really all you need to do!
The Island
When styling the island it’s best to keep it simple especially if this space is well used. Instead of styling this surface with multiple items, I would recommend making a statement by placing a large vase with large scale greenery or a huge arrangement of florals. This will make your kitchen look more elevated while also allowing room to play.
Shelves
If you want to keep your shelves functional I would place plates and bowls that are used everyday for displace. You can pair them with decorative bowls, aesthetically pleasing cook book, or artwork.
I hope these tips help you style your kitchen beautifully while also keeping functionality in mind.
Until next time!
